"Spiriki" The Geezle Eagle

One of the newest traditions at North Texas is the Spiriki statue, which is located at the entrance of Apogee Stadium. The football team will touch Spiriki as they run out onto the field on game day. Incoming freshman get the opportunity to touch Spiriki at orientation.

Geezle Alumni commissioned this Eagle, by noted artist Kent Ullberg, as a donation to the University of North Texas to establish a permanent memory of UNT's first social fraternity and to promote school spirit.

Geezle Fraternity Members excelled in academics, student activities, campus leadership, and varsity athletics.
