Amy Henard Earns Third C-USA All-Academic Selection
Senior Setter/Libero Maintains 3.8 GPA As Dual Major
This is the third-straight selection for Henard, who maintains a 3.8 GPA, while double majoring in biology and chemistry.
“Being selected for the All-Academic team means a lot to me,” Henard said. “It is a reminder that all of the hard work and studying that I do off the court pays off.”
Henard excels on the court as well, as she became the first player in North Texas history to record 3,500 assists and 1,000 digs in a career this season. Additionally, she moved into third place in career assists with 3,800.
The lone senior will lead North Texas into the conference tournament this weekend in Houston. North Texas’ first win-or-go home match is on Friday against Southern Miss, the No. 2 seed, at 7 p.m. inside Tudor Fieldhouse.
In order to qualify for the award, nominees must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA, at least a sophomore class standing, and be a starter or key reserve member of the squad.
