DENTON (11/17/04) -- North Texas junior middle blocker Brittney Gregory was named to the 2004 All-Sun Belt Conference Team on Wednesday, earning second team honors for the second consecutive year.
Gregory finished the regular season with 320 kills, 71 blocks and 26 service aces, all team highs. The junior standout also finished the season with a career-high 146 digs.
The Klein, Texas, native became the third player in North Texas history to record at least 1,000 kills in a career and now has the second most in school history with 1,095 to her credit. She recorded her first career double-double this season and currently has six on the year. Gregory also moved into 10th place at North Texas for career service aces with 101 and into seventh place for career blocks with 261.
Gregory’s 320 kills this season marks the third consecutive year she has posted at least 300 kills. She tallied double-figure kills in a team-high 17 matches, including a career-high 23 at South Alabama.
