DENTON - After securing a spot in the Conference USA tournament with a 3-1 victory over Louisiana Tech on Sunday, the North Texas volleyball team completes its league schedule this week with two road matches.

The North Texas (12-15, 6-6 C-USA) attack is led by Holly Milam, who is pacing the team with 162 kills against C-USA opponents. The Burleson native ranks eighth in conference, averaging 3.45 kills per set, and garnered her first C-USA Offensive Player of the Week selection after tallying 40 kills versus Marshall and Louisiana Tech last week.

Amanda Chamberlain has also been a force for the Mean Green, leading North Texas with 282 kills and a .367 attack percentage, the second best single-season mark in program history behind Carly Collins'.374 mark in 1994.

Milam and Chamberlain will lead North Texas to a place in which it has never won, the E.A Diddle Arena, home of No. 20 Western Kentucky. The 7 p.m. match Thursday between WKU and North Texas marks the third top-25 program North Texas has faced this season, having played Ohio State and Texas A&M, who were ranked No. 15 and No. 16, respectively.

WKU (26-2, 13-0 C-USA) enters the week on a 17-match winning streak, and has laid claim to both the No. 1 seed in the tournament and the regular season C-USA crown. The last time the two schools met was in the semifinals of last year's conference tournament, WKU won 3-0. In the all-time series, the Mean Green are 1-18, with their lone victory being in 2008.

The Lady Toppers are led by Jessica Lucas, who was tabbed the C-USA preseason Player of the Year. Lucas ranks No. 10 in the nation in assists per set at 11.41.

North Texas' final match its regular season conference schedule is against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Saturday at noon. MT resides in the bottom half of the conference standing with a record of 2-10 in C-USA play and 5-22 overall.

Regan Coughlin is the player to watch for the Blue Raiders. Coughlin leads the team with 224 kills across 93 sets. Meg Irvin anchors the back row, with 346 digs on the season.
