UALR Takes Mean Green Volleyball In Four
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (10/31/08) ? Amy Huddleston led three players in double-figure kills, but the Mean Green volleyball team couldn't overcome UALR in a 3-1 loss (25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 25-21).
The Mean Green (4-21, 2-10 Sun Belt West) posted an attack percentage over .200 for just the sixth time this season, but that wasn’t enough to top a UALR (21-7, 10-4 Sun Belt West) squad that landed 28.3 percent of its attacks on just 14 errors.
Huddleston tied a career high with 16 kills on the night, followed by Salah Schoenecke and Roxana Casvean with 11 each.
Casvean excelled on the defensive side of the ball as well with a career-high 19 digs. Her efforts, along with Sarah Willey’s 10 digs made up a good portion of
Marelle Lepmets quarterbacked the Mean Green to near perfection with a match-high 49 assists.
