• A View to Many Kills
Sophomore superstar Carne Dillard is unleashing on her opponents of late. Averaging a teamhigh
4.25 kills per set, the San Antonio native has been crushing the ball. With her 31-kill onslaught in the loss to Marshall, Dillard moved into the top 10 in career kills, grabbing sole possesion of ninth place (875). She has also found a starring role on the backline, now averaging 3.20 digs per set. She grabbed career-high figures in digs recently as she tallied 26 against both Southern Miss and Tulsa.
• The Hitting Daylights
Senior Karissa Flack continued to hit at a high percentage for the Mean Green in the matches with Charlotte and Marshall. She posted a double-digit kill outing with 11 against Charlotte, and her two percentages (.500 & .368) were both team-highs. Her season attacking percentage of .348 ranks seventh in the C-USA and 88th nationally.
• The Libero Who Dug Me
With her 47 digs in Houston, senior libero and captain Shelby Tamura moved up three spots in the NT career digs list to 7th and now sits at 6th place following the Marshall match.
