Carnae Dillard: The Art of the Kill

Oct. 2, 2015

Carnae Dillard has placed herself among the highest echelon of collegiate volleyball players.

As the nation’s active leader for kills this season and in a career, Dillard has left little doubt that she is elite. Now, just hours before a primetime showdown with conference foe Rice, North Texas’ all-time leading attacker looks to add another milestone to her long list of achievements - becoming the second player in program history to reach the 2,000 kill mark.

But even the senior’s seemingly endless mix of volleyball IQ, athletic ability and prowess are of no use without the assistance of an offensive facilitator, a role that for three seasons has come in the form of junior setter Amy Henard.

As Dillard sits on the precipice of adding yet another highlight to her already extensive resume, the San Antonio native joins her setter to take us through exactly what makes this duo so successful.
