IRVING, Texas - Freshman Amy Henard netted herself a C-USA Setter of the Week award after her performance in the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup this past weekend in Houston.
The freshman entered the weekend with the top assists per set mark (11.19) in the nation among freshmen, no small feat. She added 110 total assists in Houston against LSU, Baylor and host Cougars and is the only player on North Texas to appear in every set of the season.
"I'm excited for Amy, she's been working really hard and showing more consistency with each outing," head coach Andrew Palileo said. "She showed leadership on the floor this past weekend, and we are excited about her progress going forward."
