After winning her first ever C-USA award last week, Dillard made program history by picking up her second straight this week. No North Texas players had previously won back-to-back Conference USA weekly awards.

"I think this was a reflection of an all-around team effort," Dillard said. "Our defense and setter [Amy Henard] put me in great situations where I could terminate the ball."

Dillard kept rolling this week, continuing an unbelievable stretch of double-double performances in five of six matches played. She led North Texas to an undefeated (4-0) week, including a 3-0 mark in the Delta Zeta Classic hosted by Texas State. After sweeping the host Bobcats 3-0 in the tournament finale, the Mean Green were awarded the championship trophy, picking up the first outright tournament championship for North Texas since 2012. For her efforts, she was named to the Delta Zeta Classic All-Tournament Team for her second consecutive tournament honor.

Dillard currently leads the team with 123 kills and an average of 5.35 kills per set. She ranks fifth among the all-time career kills list at 1,148 and looks to continue her outstanding play to move up on the list.

North Texas (5-1) returns home to Denton to host the 22nd annual Mean Green Classic this weekend at the North Texas Volleyball Center. The Mean Green opens up with a rematch against Abilene Christian at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12. North Texas took the first meeting between the two teams this season in a 3-0 sweep in the second match of the Delta Zeta Classic in San Marcos.
