The Wichita, Kan., native walked-on to the NT volleyball team as a freshman just looking to earn a spot on the roster. She ended up winning the starting libero nod from day one, and played in every set for the Mean Green en route to racking up 322 digs - the most by a North Texas freshman since Jessica Hulsebosch in 2004.

Willey took her lumps learning to adjust to the college game, but is back for '09 with a year under her belt and ready to lead from the back line. A fresh offseason conditioning program has the squad in its best shape in years, and the coaches and players excited for what this season can bring for North Texas.
