DENTON - Former North Texas student-athlete Courtney Windham has signed with the Straubing volleyball team in Germany.

"I'm so excited to continue my career overseas," Windham said. "It's been my dream to play professional volleyball since I was a senior in high school."

Windham joins the German unit following a successful three-year stint with the Mean Green after transferring from Baylor before the start of her sophomore year.

"To know all the sacrifices I have made for volleyball are paying off is unbelievable," Windham continued. "I can't wait to start my new life in Straubing, Germany."

She totalled 890 kills, which is good for 10th on the all-time kills list, and her 329 career blocks ranks sixth in North Texas history.
