Volleyball Camps See Record Numbers In 2012

DENTON, Texas – Thanks to the outpouring of support from the volleyball communities of Denton and Dallas/Fort Worth, the Mean Green Juniors summer volleyball camps attracted record numbers in 2012.

“We are simply ecstatic with the number of enthusiastic campers that came out this summer,” said North Texas head coach Ken Murczek. “We strive to bring each camper the best and most fun volleyball camp experience, as well as providing top-of-the-line instruction. This summer’s crop not only filled our gym with its numbers, but also with its energy.”

Murczek and the North Texas volleyball team will return to action at home with the North Texas Invitational starting on Aug. 24. The Mean Green will be taking on Prairie View A&M, UMKC, Houston Baptist and Lamar in an action-packed weekend of volleyball.

NT is coming off its first back-to-back .500-plus seasons in 35 years, and features All-Sun Belt outside hitter Eboni Godfrey and a talented incoming crop of newcomers, including the program’s first AVCA High School All-American in Carnae Dillard.
