DENTON – The North Texas volleyball team continues to excel in the classroom, posting a grade-point average of 3.6 in the spring semester.
The volleyball team had 15 student-athletes named to Conference USA’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll list for having a GPA of at least 3.0, while five earned the Commissioner's Academic Medal for having a cumulative GPA over 3.75.
Senior captain Amy Henard was one of 12 C-USA student-athletes named to the InTouch Credit Union All-Academic team in 2016, marking her third-straight selection. Henard, who recently earned her bachelor’s degree, maintained a 3.8 GPA while double majoring in biology and chemistry.
Last summer, the volleyball program was awarded the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the sixth consecutive year.
