DENTON, Texas - North Texas volleyball began its spring slate with four straight victories, including two two-set sweeps, at the FAST Complex Collegiate Invite.
The Mean Green beat Sam Houston State (25-20, 23-25, 15-9), Texas Southern (26-16, 23-25, 15-12), SFA (25-18, 25-18) and UT Pan American (25-7, 25-23).
Eight returners from the 2013 squad participated in the matches.
"We saw some positive things this weekend and were able to implement some of the things we have been working on," head coach Andrew Palileo said. "The results from the weekend were good, but we still have thigns to work on this spring that will take us to the next level and help us prepare for the fall schedule."
Mean Green volleyball's spring schedule continues with a trip to OU on April 8 followed by a trip to UTA on April 12. It will close up spring play at the Lone Star Invite in Dallas on April 19.
