North Texas vs. LA Tech Box Score
DENTON--North Texas soars past a struggling Louisiana Tech squad in three sets(25-22, 25-14, 25-9) at home on Friday night, improving to 11-6 overall and 2-2 in Conference USA play.
After coming out fast but finishing slow in a loss to Rice on Wednesday, the Mean Green played a consistent match from start to finish on Friday night. A large NTVB Center crowd on hand for Dig Pink night energized the North Texas squad to a dominant three set performance.
Junior outside hitter Carnae Dillard led the way with 15 kills on a .522 hitting percentage. Dillard, while failing to pick up her 13th double-double, picked up seven digs to compliment her second best attack percentage of 2014. With the addition of 15 kills to her career total, Dillard now moves into sole possession of fourth place on the North Texas all-time career kills list with 1,344.
Just two days after recording a season high kills total, Senior Hanna Forst continued her hot streak with yet another impressive 11 kill, .500 hitting performance. Tonight's stellar attack percentage by Forst is her best this season.
The Mean Green looks to win consecutive games for the first time since September 13 (the end of a seven game winning streak) when they take on tough Conference USA foe Marshall at 1 p.m. on Sunday inside the North Texas Volleyball Center.
