Bardabush Goes 2-0 Saturday at Sooner Invite

NORMAN, Okla. - North Texas women's tennis finished the second day of the Sooner Invitational with a 9-5 record in singles play at the Headington Family Tennis Center.

Freshman Kseniya Bardabush continued her stellar first weekend with a 2-0 record, including a straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 victory over teammate Franziska Sprinkmeyer.

"Overall we had a very good day," said head coach Sujay Lama. "The ladies continue to battle and improve with each match. We are looking forward to two teams in doubles playing in the finals tomorrow."

Bardabush will faceoff with another teammate that went undefeated on Saturday in senior Paula Dinuta for the finals of the "C" singles draw.

The freshman will also team with transfer Ilona Serchenko to compete in the "B" draw doubles finals.

Sprinkmeyer and senior Barbora Vykydalova will square off with a duo from ACU for the "C" draw doubles finals.
