Mean Green Tennis Earns NCAA Award For Academic Excellence
North Texas Achieves Public Recognition Award For APR Score
DENTON -- For a second consecutive year, the NCAA has awarded the North Texas women's tennis team for achieving academic excellence.
Based on the most recent multiyear Academic Progress Rates score, North Texas has received the Public Recognition Award on Wednesday for posting scores in the top 10 percent of its sport. The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams. These most recent APRs are multi-year rates based on scores from the 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years.
The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester or academic term and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in every sport. APR scores will be released on May 10.
