DENTON (4/26/07) Apparently Narine Kazarova is already a fan of the new Waranch Tennis Complex. The Frisco Centennial High School senior and Mean Green signee won the Class 4A Region-II girls singles title at her future home and earned a trip to the state tournament on Thursday.
Kazarova, a four-star player according to tennisrecruiting.net, reeled off four straight wins at the WTC to seal the state tournament birth, including a 6-3, 6-3 win in the title match. The UIL State Meet will take place on May 7-8 in Austin.
The Mean Green is coming off its first full season of action in the WTC. The state-of-the-art has been the home of the North Texas tennis team since 2006.
The 12-court $3 million complex is quickly becoming known as one of the premier facilities in the region, and hosted the Sun Belt Conference Championships last weekend.
