The 55th-ranked North Texas tennis team, riding a three-match win streak, welcomes No. 38 Memphis on Saturday, Mar. 29 at 11 a.m. at Waranch Tennis Complex.
"Our focus is improvement from the last match," said head coach Sujay Lama. "We are competing well and staying poised, and that is a sign that we are growing and maturing. Memphis is a good team and well coached. It is a challenge but a huge opportunity, too. It should an exciting match."
Freshman Anastasiya Shestakova has won her last four singles matches at the No. 2 spot, making her record 8-5. Shestakova captured her third match point of the season last week against Louisiana Tech, helping the Mean Green pick up their eighth win.
North Texas will also host a tennis clinic for children 13 and under Saturday, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., before doubles play begins.
