Tennis Match Against UTA Moved Up To 2 P.M.
DENTON, Texas - North Texas Tennis returns to the Waranch Tennis Complex this afternoon to square-off with cross-town rival Texas-Arlington at 2 p.m.
The Mean Green (8-5) is coming of a solid performance on Sunday against Lamar where they dominated all but one match en route to a 5-1 victory.
"We've been very pleased with the way we've competed in the last three matches and we are improving in all areas especially in the area of mental toughness," said head coach Sujay Lama. "The key is to build on it and continue to stay on a roll."
The Mavericks of UTA come into the match with a 5-3 record, having won five in a row against their Southland Conference foes.
"UT Arlington is a very talented team top to bottom," added Lama. "We need to be on our "A" game to have success against a tough opponent. It should be a terrific match."
The match, originally scheduled for 3 p.m. was moved up one hour due to the threat of rain and bad weather. Admission, as always, is free of charge.
