Mean Green Return To Waranch Tennis Complex This Afternoon
DENTON, Texas - North Texas Tennis will return home this afternoon to take on the Tarleton State TexAnns in a recently scheduled match that will begin at 3 p.m. at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
The Mean Green (3-2) is coming off the biggest win in school history in which it defeated the No. 73 Texas Tech Red Raiders 5-2.
"We have an opportunity to stay sharp, work on our execution and build on the momentum we have from our last match," head coach Sujay Lama said. "Our goal is to come out with high energy and intensity and feel good about our performance heading into two very important conference matches this weekend."
Week Four Notes
Tarleton State, of NCAA Division II's Lone Star Conference comes into the match with a 3-2 record and Is coming off of an 8-2 victory over Ouachita Baptist four days ago.
After the match, North Texas will finish preparation for a tough weekend on the road when they travel to Mobile, Ala., to face off with conference foes, No. 27 Florida International on Saturday and then No. 75 South Alabama on Sunday.
The Mean Green will return home in a little over a month to square off with Lamar on Sunday, March 21 at 11 a.m. As always, admission to North Texas Tennis is free of charge.
