HOUSTON -

The North Texas tennis team looks to keep the momentum going when they take on the Houston Cougars Saturday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m.

“Houston is a much improved team under Coach Sullivan and should be nationally ranked by the end of the year,” said head coach Sujay Lama. “We are coming off a great effort against Southern Illinois and want to build on it this weekend.”

Against an up-and-coming Cougar tennis program, the Mean Green will look to build on its 4-0 win over SIU, on Feb.1.

“The key for us is to continue focusing on developing our game and maintaining a high level of energy throughout the course of the match,” Lama said. “Our freshmen and sophomores got a taste of the intensity it takes to be successful in a dual match, and now we’ve got to bring it every single time we step on the court.”

The Mean Green will brave the cold in Houston at the John E. Hoff Tennis Courts. For live results, click here.
