Mean Green Advance Five On Day One

During the doubles session in the morning, all three Mean Green doubles teams finished their matches with the game count of 8-5 with two of the teams on the winning end.

Vykydalova, playing in singles flight four, had an opposite match from Lee. The sophomore narrowly dropped the first set to FGCU's Iris Rendon before storming back to win the match 6-7, 6-0 (12-10).

Senior Madura Ranganathan dominated her singles match from the start and took a comfortable 6-1, 6-2 win from Louisville's Sonra Bokhari in singles flight five.

The seventh singles flight saw newly arrived freshman Isabel Bos drop her first collegiate match in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. Bos arrived in Denton barely a week ago from The Netherlands.
