DENVER, Colo. - North Texas tennis fell to the Denver Pioneers 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Stapleton Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Denver.
The Mean Green (6-10) dropped two of the three doubles matches, giving the first point to Denver (7-11).
Amy Joubert and Paula Dinuta were the first duo to fall, losing 8-2 to Denver's Caroline Schnell/Natalie Dunn.
Irina Paraschiv and Barbora Vykydalova were the team that was not able to finish their match, as the Pioneers' Emma Isberg and Elena Najera dispatched of Madura Ranganthan and Nadia Lee 8-4.
Singles saw Denver take all three matches that were completed and the match in a decisive 4-0 fashion.
Sophia Bergner shot down the Mean Green's Paraschiv in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
From there, Vykydalova, who put up a fight in the first set, fell in the second and lost at the No. 2 slot 7-6, 6-1.
North Texas will return to the court on Thursday, April 7, when the travel across town to nationally ranked UTA
