Wade Zimmerman enters his second season with the Mean Green tennis program and first year as associate head coach. Zimmerman completed his initial season with North Texas in 2012-2013, which was one of the best seasons in school history (18-5 overall record) featuring a Sun Belt Conference championship and an NCAA tournament appearance.
Over the past 11 years, Zimmerman has coached at the collegiate, club, and secondary levels and is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association and as a physical fitness specialist. He holds a B.S. degree in kinesiology and exercise science, a master's degree in physical education from Sul Ross State, and a doctoral degree in supervision, curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University.
He and his wife Katherine reside in Argyle with their two children, Jeremy and Wyatt.
