Swimming and Diving Hosts New Mexico State

The Mean Green (1-0) return to the Pohl Recreation Center this Saturday, as they host their first home dual-meet against New Mexico State (0-0). Last year, North Texas fell to the Aggies 75-168.

Against Tulane, Mona Groteguth lowered her time from the Green and White Meet by over two seconds in the 100 yard backstroke, posting a 57.76 to win the event, just over a second and a half off the school record. The freshman is already the seventh-leading performer in school history.

Krista Rossum won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.85, topping her time in the Green and White game, and is the 7th-fastest time in school history, just over a second off of Hannah Bakke's school record.

Diving will start with 3-meter at 11:00 am, and then 1-meter after a 15-minute break.

Scoring is standard: 11-4-2 relay, 9-4-3-2-1 individual. There is a 2nd non-scoring heat in several events.   

North Texas swimming and diving comes into the meet with a record of two wins and 14 losses against New Mexico State. The dual-meet begins in Denton, TX at 11:00 am.
