Swimming Takes On The Green Wave

The Mean Green return to the pool on this Saturday, October 15, as it travels to Tulane to open the dual-meet season. Last year, North Texas beat the Green Wave in a dual meet 140-102.

In the 100 yard backstroke, Gentile turned in a 57.53, just over a second-and-a-half of her team team-best time from 2010-11 and just under 1.75 seconds from the school record. Newcomer Krista Rossum swam a 1:04.99 in the 100 yard breaststroke, just over a second off the school record mark. Rossum again excelled in the 200 breaststroke, swimming a 2:21.33, which would have led North Texas in 2010-11, and is just under two seconds off the school mark.
