Swimming & Diving Team Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors
Mean Green Posts 3.43 Spring GPA
NORFOLK, Va. – For the 13th-consecutive year, the North Texas swimming and diving team was recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for its academic achievement in the spring semester.
“It's an honor to be included as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team once again,” head coach Brittany Roth said. “To be part of a growing standard of Division I collegiate swimming, our athletes' performance in classroom is of great importance."
The Mean Green were one of 720 teams representing 443 institutions, which achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the spring semester to earn Scholar All-America team honors. North Texas posted a 3.43 combined GPA.
The swimming and diving program placed 28 student-athletes on the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll List for earning a 3.0 GPA or higher, while seven went on to earn Commissioner’s Academic Medals for having a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
“Our Mean Green swimmers and divers put in a lot of hard work day in and day out, and I am so pleased they have earned the title once again of being a CSCAA Scholar All-American Team,” Roth added.
