DENTON (1/19/05) - The NT women's swimming and diving team squares-off against TCU for the second time this season tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 19. The last meeting between the two teams took place in Fort Worth on the campus of TCU. The Mean Green will now defend home territory as the Horned Frogs travel to Denton to compete in the NT Student Recreational Center at 7 p.m.
Earlier this season the Horned Frogs pulled out a victory over the Mean Green. The final meet score was 85-57. The Mean Green now look to turn the tables and defeat an old rival.
Last week SMU and UH traveled to Denton to compete against the Mean Green. The meet ended in two losses for the Mean Green, but two new NT records were made that night. Sophomore Jaime Hosner swam a time of 10:39.39 in the 1000 freestyle to set the new record, while sophomore Gwen Rourke broke the record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.59.
Tonight will be the last meet in the regular season for the Mean Green. The team will next travel to Little Rock, AR to compete at the Sun Belt Conference Championships Feb. 17-19.
