Mean Green Swimming Takes Second At North Texas Relays
Outperforming Houston And SMU, The Mean Green Falls To Arkansas

SOUTHLAKE, Texas -The North Texas swimming and diving team came in second at the annual North Texas Relays this Friday. While outperforming the University of Houston (244) and SMU (278) the Mean Green fell to Arkansas (294-414).
The Mean Green’ s 3x100 backstroke relay of Mona Groteguth, who led the team with a season best 56.59, Ash Stone and Sarah Manning finished third. This was one of several top- three finishes for the squad.
Other notable showings included junior Jana Burkard's lead-off split in the Mean Green’s 3x500 freestyle relay with a season best of 5:03.86.
Tomorrow North Texas will host the Razorbacks for their first dual meet of the season. Diving will start at 9:30 a.m. at the PEB and swimming will follow at 10 a.m. at the Pohl Rec Center.
