White Team Takes Swimming and Diving Intrasquad

The younger White team showed its skill and took eight of the thirteen events in the meet, including wins in the 4 x 50 Freestyle Relay and 200 yard Fly.
Senior Alicia Hale, three victories, and sophomore Leanne Hill, two wins, paced the White team.
Leading the way for the Green team was freshman Hannele Luoma. Luoma finished first in three events and second in another.
"Overall, we knew the times weren't going to be that fast coming in, but we were looking for determination and work ethic," said head coach Joe Dykstra. "I believe the girls came out and did very well for this being our first real competition atmosphere, and we will come away with a lot of things to work on to prepare for the North Texas Relays in two weeks."
Saturday morning featured the North Texas Swimming and Diving alumni meet. Alumni came in and competed alongside the entire squad of varsity members. After the event concluded, members of the alumni squad shared lunch and wisdoms with the current team.
The Mean Green will take to the pool next when they host the North Texas Relay is Mansfield, Texas on Friday, October 9.
