DENTON, Texas - The North Texas juniors Mona Groteguth and Krista Rossum were unbeatable in today’s dual swim meet against Tulane, helping the Mean Green to a 181-119 victory.
Groteguth led off the winning 400 medley relay and continued her streak in 100 backstroke (57.64), 200 backstroke (2:07.26) and finished out the meet with a Mean Green victory in the 400 freestyle relay.
Rossum was a member the 400 medley who took first against the Green Wave. Individually she was the top finisher in the 200 free (1:55.87), 200 breaststroke (2:24.01) and the 400 IM (4:32.72).
The Mean Green collected two more wins with Rebecca Taylor’s performance on three-meter and Catherine Johnson on one-meter.
This was the second win of the season against conference foe Tulane, who they faced in their first dual Jan.10. The Mean Green won 11 of the 16 events in todays dual.
