June 29, 2015

DENTON -- As the summer off-season quickly approaches a midpoint, it is evident the tireless work put in by North Texas softball head coach Tracey Kee and her staff has paid off. Their efforts have been realized in the form of a nine-member incoming recruiting class for the 2015-2016 school year.

The latest addition to the class, Danielle Gregory, joins the Mean Green as a transfer from McLennan Community College. Gregory, a 2015 NTJCAC 2nd team all-conference selection as an outfielder, will enter in her junior year of eligibility looking to help take the program to the next level.

Coach Kee on Gregory: "We are very excited to be adding Danielle to our squad. Her commitment to her studies, pure athleticism and desire to compete will be a nice addition. Having student athletes not afraid to work hard on a daily basis is key to being successful. Add in the team player concept and she'll be a wonderful catalyst."

Why Danielle Chose North Texas: "I chose to attend North Texas because of the amazing school and softball program. The coaches are great and push each player to be their best and the school has such a great learning environment. It is a dream come true to be able to play softball at the highest level of division one and I look forward to the coming season."
