DENTON, Texas - Mean Green softball head coach Tracey Kee has announced the hiring of Natalie Kozlowski as associate head coach.

"Coach Koz is a relentless worker with a passion for coaching," Kee said. "Her ability to build on a student-athlete's strength, while helping them overcome a weakness, will benefit our program tremendously."

Kozlowski joins Kee after the two spent 12 years together at East Carolina, where Kozlowski maintained the role of associate head coach in her final six years with the Pirates.

While under Kee, she was the hitting coach and worked with the outfielders. In addition to her on-field work, Kozlowski was the Pirates' recruiting coordinator, scouting director and conditioning coach.

"I am confident in her leadership skills, and believe her previous experiences and successes will help North Texas softball continue to reach new heights," Kee concluded.

Kozlowski was part of a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Mideast Region Coaching Staff-of-the-Year in 2010 and 2011, and was integral in a pair of C-USA tournament championships and three NCAA tournament appearances.
