DENTON, Texas – North Texas heads to Stillwater, Okla., for one more meeting with Oklahoma State on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. before heading to Marshall for a C-USA series that will see the first game aired nationally on Fox Sports.

The Mean Green (24-14, 9-5) is 5-9 all-time against the Cowgirls (21-16, 2-5), but NT is has won the last two meetings and already boasts one victory over Oklahoma State this year after a 4-3 win on March 12 at Lovelace Stadium.

Several members of the Mean Green have begun to scratch the outer surface of the single-season and career record books, most notably senior pitcher Ashley Kirk, who currently holds the top four single-season strikeout records and is looking to make 2014 her best season yet.

The righty is 16-6 this season and is three wins shy of dethroning long-time North Texas great Kristina Fowler as the single-season wins leader.

Also making her mark is junior Kat Strunk, who arrived from NCTC in the offseason. She has a team-high 37 RBI thus far this season, placing her fifth on the single-season list and 17 shy of first place.

Strunk is also fourth on the single-season chart in multi-RBI games with 12. The school record is 16.
