Softball Hosts UL-Lafayette This Weekend

DENTON, Texas (4/5/13 ) -The North Texas softball team returns home to play a three-game series against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday and Sunday. The Mean Green begins play with a doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m.

After six games on the road, North Texas (18-14, 6-4) returns home to face Louisiana-Lafayette (22-11, 5-4). The Ragin’ Cajuns hold a 31-2 series advantage against the Mean Green. North Texas went 0-4 last year against ULL, including two extra inning losses.

The Mean Green is currently in third place in the Sun Belt standings, while the Ragin' Cajuns are fourth. North Texas has won two conference series this season and split with two Sun Belt teams.

With the hard-fought eight-inning win against FAU, North Texas head coach T.J. Hubbard picked up his 150th career win at North Texas. His overall career record at North Texas is 150-151. Hubbard is the all-time winningest softball coach at North Texas and the longest tenured (five-plus years).
