DENTON, Texas - Due to possible weather issues, the Mean Green's scheduled doubleheader with LA Tech on Saturday, April 5, has been moved up to an 11 a.m. start time with the second game scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

NT heads into the weekend series with La Tech boasting an 8-4 C-USA record, which puts coach Kee's unit into a second-place tie with UAB.

With UAB and first-place 17th-ranked Tulsa squaring off this weekend, North Texas has an opportunity to gain ground in the league standings with only four more series left before the Conference USA tournament, which takes the top eight programs to Boca Raton, Fla., on May 8.

Senior Jordan Terry, who knocked in the game-winning RBI double in the win over SFA and was responsible for two of the three runs scored against UAB, enters the series hitting .314 in the cleanup spot.

In a recent move to the three-hole, junior transfer Kat Strunk is batting .330 with a team-high 36 RBI, good for fifth on the North Texas single-season RBI record list.

A C-USA Pitcher of the Week, senior Ashley Kirk will be in the circle for the majority of the weekend. She got her 15th win of the season against SFA, which tied her single-season career high.
