North Texas Softball Hosts Oklahoma State Wednesday
Mean Green Check In With 14-9 Record
DENTON - The North Texas softball team will put its four-game winning streak on the line Wednesday when it hosts the Oklahoma State Cowgirls at 6 p.m. at Lovelace Stadium.
The Mean Green are riding high after sweeping the UTEP Miners over the weekend, moving their overall record to 14-9 and 3-0 in Conference USA action. The 3-0 start in conference matches the best mark since joining C-USA in 2014.

Foster is the programs all-time leader with 131.
In the circle, senior Stacey Underwood (8-3) continues to pace the pitching staff, going undefeated since Feb. 24 against UNC-Wilmington. Since then, Underwood is 5-0 with four complete games and two shutouts. Her earned-run average is 1.65 across the nine appearances and opponents are hitting a mere .195 against her.
In the same stretch, senior Jessica Elder is 3-0, with one of those wins being a come-from-behind victory over Texas Tech on March 5. She has recorded 14 strikeouts, including a career-best eight in the victory over the Red Raiders.
As for the Cowgirls, they check in with an 18-10 mark after going 4-1 at the Ole Miss Classic, which included a 5-1 victory over No. 22 Ole Miss.
OSU sophomore Taylor Lynch comes to Denton with a .398 average across, junior Vanessa Shippy isn't far behind at .380, while five other Cowgirls own an average north of .300.

As a staff, OSU has a 4.26 ERA, while its opponents own a 5.60 mark. North Texas' staff holds a 4.11 ERA heading into Wednesday's contest.
This will be the 20th meeting between schools, with OSU leading the series 12-7 and on a two-game winning streak against the Mean Green.

Wednesday is $1 hot dog day at Lovelace Stadium.
