VIDEO: Pitching Staff Prepares For C-USA Opener In Murfreesboro
#MGSB's Coach Kee, Ashley Kirk and Lauren Poole discuss the state of the pitching staff heading into conference play
March 7, 2014
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Head coach Tracey Kee has spent a significant amount of her time with North Texas' pitching staff, preparing the talented and diverse group for a new challenge in Conference USA.
C-USA, a pitching league as opposed to the Sun Belt, which was a hitter's league, has been historically won by the teams with the lowest team ERA, and the Mean Green boasts a 2.89 ERA, sixth best in the league heading into conference play.
Each member of the rotation has and will continue to play a vital role in the Mean Green's strategy if North Texas is to be successful in its inaugural C-USA season.
North Texas (13-5) begins the conference season at Middle Tennessee on Saturday, March 8, at 1/3 p.m. and finishes the series on Sunday, March 9, at noon.
