North Texas Continues Home Stand
The Mean Green's 18-game homestand continues with a single game this week against UTSA. North Texas is 4-3 in the series against the Roadrunners and played UTSA three times last year, going 2-1. Mariza Martinez was key in both wins last year. She hit a walk-off home run in the 5-4 victory in San Antonio and then hit a fly ball in the bottom of the seventh inning that was misplayed and led to the winning run being scored for the Mean Green. The Roadrunners are trying to break an eight-game losing streak.

Megan Rupp's hot play continued in the Sleep Inn Classic. She finished the tournament tied for second with a .500 hitting percentage, going 6-for-12 with two doubles, three RBI and three stolen bases. She posted key hits in the Mean Green's three wins. She needs five more to set the career walk record.
