Coach Kee on Elder: "Jessica is a competitive student athlete who understands the game within the game. Her experience and skill set will balance our 2016 pitching staff well. She understands the importance of balancing both sides of the plate and strike zone. Her ability to mix her speeds will indeed benefit us in keeping batters off balanced. Being able to add a lefty to our staff will give us many options when it comes to giving teams different looks."

Why Jessica chose North Texas: "I chose the University of North Texas because the campus and athletic facilities were outstanding. The coaching staff, training staff and academic staff were friendly and supportive. It has always been a dream of mine to play softball at the Division I level and North Texas made that dream come true!"
