DENTON - Two days after they were both recognized for their on-field performances, junior Rachel Holden and senior Molly Grisham were rewarded for their work in the classroom. The junior forward and senior defender both received Conference USA Second-Team All-Academic honors.
Holden is a kinesiology major with a 3.5 grade-point average. She was a first-team C-USA All-Academic honoree last year as well as a C-USA Academic Medal Winner in 2013-14. She was named to the North Texas Academic Dean's List the last two years.
The forward was named C-USA Co-Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Mean Green with 11 goals. She led the conference with six goals in league play, scoring a goal in four-straight games, with two of them game-winners. Holden was tied for the lead in the conference and ranked nationally with five game-winning goals.
Grisham is an organizational behavior and human resource management major with a 3.705 GPA. She was named to the North Texas Academic Dean's List as a freshman, sophomore and junior. She was named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll as a sophomore and junior.

Grisham has started all 21 games for North Texas and anchored a backline that held opponents to just nine goals all season, a conference low.
