Three-Goal Weekend Earns Hodges C-USA Weekly Honor

DENTON, Texas – No stranger to league and national accolades, North Texas soccer’s Kelsey Hodges added another honor to her resume on Monday – Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week.

Despite taking the field as North Texas’ last defender, Hodges often finds herself in the mix of the Mean Green scoring opportunities. The senior took advantage of those chances over the weekend, finding the net three times, including the game winner against UTSA on Friday.

Hodges jumped from 11th to 8th in the North Texas career scoring lists, and now has 28 goals for her illustrious career. A two-time First Team All-Sun Belt selection, Hodges was twice named Sun Belt Player of the Week and even a CollegeSoccer360 National Prime Time Performer earlier in her career.

A Denton, Texas native, Hodges becomes the third Mean Green player this year to earn a C-USA weekly honor, and North Texas’ four awards are more than any other team.
