When the Tutt family approached Mean Green captain Kelsey Hodges about teaching their oldest daughter, Meagan, the game of soccer, Hodges didn’t hesitate.

Countless 1-on-1 sessions later, Hodges got to know the Tutt family, and felt compelled to also help their youngest daughter, Kodi, fight the childhood cancer that nearly took Kodi’s life. Once again, Hodges didn’t hesitate.

She teamed up with the Tutts and their foundation, Kick It Kodi, to bring the fight against childhood cancer to the Mean Green Soccer Complex, and on Friday the North Texas community can show their support.

North Texas and Kick It Kodi will host a silent auction, face painting, bounce house and snow cones, with all of the proceeds going to help the fight against childhood cancer. The festivities get started at 5:30 p.m., and the Mean Green soccer game against Southern Miss gets started at 7 p.m.
