DENTON (8/23/2005) Former North Texas soccer great Marilyn Marin has been chosen as the Sun Belt Conference’s all-time player, announced Tuesday to promote the conference’s anniversary celebration as it embarks on its 30th season of athletic competition in 2005-06. North Texas placed three former players on the All-Time Sun Belt team as Melinda Pina and Caree Ridenour were named to the squad.

Marin was named to the Freshman All-American team in 2000 and she was a four-time All-Central Region selection.
Pina was a three-time first-team all conference selection and a four-time all-tournament team selection. She finished her career second all-time at North Texas with 51 goals and 122 points.
