DENTON, Tex. (5/2/08) They haven’t set foot on campus yet but three North Texas soccer signees are already making headlines. Kara Brooks, Kelsey Perlman, and Jill Wright were named to the Dallas Morning News All-Area girls soccer team after dominating senior seasons.
Brooks and Pearlman were named to the first-team while Wright was named to the second-team. Brooks had 33 goals and 14 assists for L.D. Bell and was named the District 7-5A Player of the Year for the second straight season. In her four years at L.D. Bell she scored 89 goals.
Pearlman, from Allen High School, had 23 goals and 15 assists this season en route to being named the District 9-5A Player of the Year.
Wright had 16 shutouts this season for Forney High School and a miniscule goals against average of 0.56 her senior season. She topped her shutout total from last season as she notched 14 shutouts as a junior.
