Louisiana Tech Snaps Soccer's Win Streak
Techsters Defeat Mean Green, 1-0
RUSTON, La. -- The Mean Green soccer team's hopes for an undefeated conference season came to halt on Friday night with a 1-0 loss to Louisiana Tech.
The Techsters took advantage of a foul called against North Texas inside the 18-yard box and converted a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead in the 75th minute. Louisiana Tech was the only conference opponent that was able to take a lead against North Texas all season.
North Texas picked up the pace in the final 15 minutes, taking four shots, but the Louisiana Tech was able to hold off the attack. Kylee Seto finished with seven saves for the Techsters.
The Mean Green had seven shots on goal but was unable to find the back of the net. North Texas goalkeeper Jackie Kerestine did not see much action besides the penalty kick. She made just one save.
North Texas has been dangerous all season on corner kicks but drew just one corner all game tonight.
North Texas used 10 substitutions but was unable to find that winning combination.

North Texas looks ahead to the Conference USA Tournament. The Mean Green holds the No. 1 seed and will play Wednesday, Nov 4.
