Michelle Young scored her Sun Belt-leading 12th goal of the season in the 17th minute with an assist from Ellen Scarfone. Young, who has seven goals in seven conference games, moves into a tie for fifth in career game-winning goals at North Texas with today's game-winner.
Scarfone got her name on the scoresheet in the 26th minute, as she bent a corner kick directly into the goal for her fifth goal of the season, to go with her assist earlier in the game.
