NT Dominates UALR 8-2, Remains Undefeated

LITTLE ROCK (10/14/12) - North Texas soccer continues its undefeated run in the Sun Belt Conference after rolling over UALR by a score of 8-2. The win pushes North Texas' overall record to 12-3-2 and the conference record to 7-0-1. 

Seven different players scored for North Texas including two from Michelle Young in the victory. Goalkeeper Jackie Kerestine gave up zero scores through 51 minutes in goal and had three saves. Hulstein and Young each scored off headers and Hercules notched her first career goal from 40 yards out. 

Young's two goals put her atop the North Texas roster in goals scored on the year. Lindsey Hulstein, Lynda Hercules and Amanda Burgardt all recorded their first goals of the year.

"It was important to get both wins on the road this weekend and remain unbeaten in league play," head coach John Hedlund said. "With two games left to play, we have set ourselves up very nicely on defending our title from last year."

North Texas continues its quest for the regular season Sun Belt Conference title on Thursday, Oct. 18 in Denton against Middle Tennessee.
