"We need to win all of our games at home," said North Texas Head Coach John Hedlund. "Our goal has never really changed. We try to attack the opponent, go at them and numbers and apply pressure. We were able to do that pretty much the whole day, and that's where the goals came from."
Michelle Young started the scoring in the second minute when she scored on a breakaway for her second goal in as many games, and her fifth goal of the season as she scored on a breakaway pass from Loreli Ramsey, who earned her first assist of the season.
Carly McDowell doubled North Texas' lead when she scored directly off a corner kick in the 15th minute. McDowell now has three goals in the past two games.
Nikki Crocco added her second goal of the season in the 53rd minute, scoring off a narrow angle shot that the keeper could not cleanly stop. Kelsey Perlman fed her the ball to score, giving Perlman a goal or an assist in three straight games, and now has nine points over her last six games.
